LTS used their GSR2700 IS regularly until early 2007, when they experienced a power issue. After attempting their own repairs, LTS surveyors posted a message on the SOKKIA message board at www.RPLS.com requesting advice about their issue.

Solution

Within hours of LTS posting their issue, SOKKIA and POINT representatives made contact and instructed them to send the unit to their dealer. Their dealer then sent the receiver to the POINT Service Department for immediate inspection. A replacement GSR2700 IS unit was sent directly to Lock Two Surveying to ensure that surveying could continue while their receiver was being examined. Technicians quickly solved the issued and returned the receiver to LTS.

Results
